From the station to the hotel Foreign participants are accomodated in the Hotel Kohler located about 1 km from the Main Train Station (HBF). One may try to walk. this distance, but if you decide to take the public transportation, you can go to the tram/bus stop HBF, take any tram or bus which goes in the direction to Bismarckplatz, and get off at the stop Poststr. Accomodation Hotel Kohler is located about 1,5 km from the buildings of the Physics Institute of the University Heidelberg in the Philosphenweg 12 and in the Albert-Überle-Str. 3-5. The best way to get from the Hotel to the lecture room in the Albert-Überle-Str. 3-5 is just to walk. In case you need to take the public transportation, please go to the tram/bus stop in the Poststr., take the tram nr. 5 in the direction to Weinheim or the tram nr. 23 in the direction to Handschuhsheim , get off at the stop Brückenstr., and walk from there to the faculty building in the Albert-Überle-Str. 3-5. Arrival to the lectures Participants are expected to show up in the building belonging to the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy in the Albert-Überle-Str. 3-5 on Monday, the 10th of May, at 14:00. The lectures will be held in the Fakultätssall/Festsaal (Room 353, 3rd floor in the east part) of the building, which is actually not more than 50 meters away from the probably better known faculty building in the Philosophenweg 12. It is advisible to come a few minutes before the Welcome-talk by Prof. Johanna Stachel in order to get familiar with the place. IMPORTANT ! : No lunch will be served for you on Monday before the lectures. All the lectures, students' talks and the "hands-on" session on Wednesday will be held in the faculty building in the Albert-Überle-Str. 3-5. The "hands-on" session on Tuesday will be held in the Kirchhoff-Institut für Physik . If you do not know its location, you will be told how to get there in the first day of the school.
